Planning & Inspections Department — continued <br />• Manages interdepartmental collaboration and takes lead roles on special planning projects. <br />Assists in other major comprehensive plan implementation and current planning amendments. <br />• Manages Public Transit initiatives; local, intra- county and regional including infrastructure <br />development. <br />• Manage Engineering initiatives such as Economic Development water and sewer <br />infrastructure. <br />• Interacts with regional, state and federal agencies such as North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation (NCDOT), North Carolina Department of Enviornment and Natural Resources <br />(NCDENR), Envioronmental Protection Agency (EPA), Metropolitan Planning Organization <br />(MPO), Triangle J Counciil of Governments (TJCOG), etc. <br />FY 2012 -13 Outcomes <br />• SAPFO Administration, including authoring annual technical report <br />• Orange - Alamance County Line Issue — significant support on project and with GIS mapping <br />work <br />• Efficient Agenda Preparation and Management for Planning Board and Quarterly Public <br />Hearings including continual maintenance of Departmental webpage. <br />• Hillsborough- Orange County Strategic Growth Plan Interlocal Agreement adopted. <br />• Orange County, Chapel Hill, Carrboro Joint Planning Area (JPA) Administration — reviews and <br />comments on Land Use Management Ordinance revisions proposed by Towns of Chapel Hill <br />and Carrboro and on -going coordination with the Towns on land use issues. <br />• Zoning Ordinance and Map Amendment and Comprehensive Plan Text and Map <br />amendments, including significant mapping efforts.
