Monitor and respond to all public safety agency requests <br />through various mediums of communication to provide information and oversee safety of <br />responders. <br />• Coordinate and dispatch medical calls through the use of Emergency Medical Dispatch <br />(EMD) through protocol assessment to provide the most accurate resource and provide pre - <br />arrival and post- dispatch instructions to the caller /patient until medically trained personnel <br />arrive on scene. <br />• Utilize Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) to identify closest ambulance response to medical <br />calls. <br />Maintain all 9 -1 -1 records and produce duplicated recordings /logs /database information as <br />requested by the agencies, citizens, businesses and attorneys as outlined by NC GS 132- <br />1.4 and GS 132 -1.5. <br />Narrowbanding Project implemented affecting all conventional radio systems in order to <br />comply with FCC regulations by January 2013. <br />FY 2012 -13 Outcomes <br />Successfully implemented AVL for ambulance units. <br />Answered all 9 -1 -1 emergency lines within 0 — 5 seconds 100% of the time. <br />• Complied with all mandatory certification requirements in EMD, Sheriff's Training and <br />Standards, Division of Criminal Information (DCI), and FEMA IS 247a. <br />• Completed Narrowbanding of the 9 -1 -1 Center radios and tower with minimal interruption to <br />operations. <br />121 <br />
