County Manager's Office - continued <br />Implemented Paperless Agenda Process for all Board of County Commissioners Regular <br />Meetings, Work Sessions and Joint Meetings. <br />• Concluded work of the Emergency Services Workgroup. <br />• Committee Work: <br />• Approval of three (3) new Fire /Insurance Districts. <br />• Interim report and continuation of Historic Rogers Road Neighborhood Task Force. <br />• Installation of Efland - Buckhorn Wastewater Improvements. <br />• Multiple projects related to Economic Development. <br />• Converted Piedmont Food & Agricultural Processing Center to non - profit status. <br />• Approval of Bus and Rail Investment Plan. <br />• Planned and implemented One -Half Cent Sales Tax, for transit needs. <br />FY 2013 -14 Fiscal Year Objectives <br />• Monitor federal sequestration impacts on County departments and services. <br />• Review County operations for duplicative activities and investigate reorganization /reassignment of <br />existing staff. <br />• Continue progress on Historic Rogers Road Neighborhood Task Force, Efland - Buckhorn <br />wastewater improvements, and economic development. <br />• Work with the Board of Commissioners to address the financial challenges associated with <br />providing services to County residents. <br />Budget Highlights <br />The creation of the Public Affairs Department, on July 1, 2013, will reduce the County Manager's <br />budget by approximately $108,000, in personnel and operating costs. <br />aA <br />
