4 <br /> 1 NOW, THEREFORE, we, the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County, <br /> 2 North Carolina, do proclaim April 2013 as FAIR HOUSING MONTH and commend this <br /> 3 observance to all Orange County residents. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 <br /> 8 A motion was made by Commissioner Phce, seconded by Commissioner Dorosin to <br /> 9 approve a proclamation designating April as Fair Housing Month 2013 and authorize the Chair <br /> 10 to sign. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 13 <br /> 14 <br /> 15 b. LmcaY Historic Landmark Designation for Captain John S. Pope Farm <br /> 16 The Board was to consider and adopt an ordinance to designate the Captain John S. <br /> 17 Pope Farm in Cedar Grove as an Orange County Local Historic Landmark and authorize the <br /> 18 Chair to sign. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 DEFERRED <br /> 21 <br /> 22 c. Voluntary and Enhanced Agricultural District Demignstion—Multiple Farms— <br /> 23 Green, Ward, Pope, Walters <br /> 24 The Board was to consider applications from multiple landowners/farms to certify <br /> 25 qualifying farmland within the Cedar Grove, CaneCrenk'Buchhorn. High Roch/EUand. and <br /> 26 Caldwell Voluntary Agricultural Districts, and to enroll the lands in the Orange County Voluntary <br /> 27 Agricultural District (VAD) and the Enhanced Voluntary Agriculture District (EVAD) programs. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 DEFERRED <br /> 30 <br /> 31 5. Consent Agenda <br /> 32 Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> 33 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br /> 34 approve the remaining items on the consent agenda. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 37 <br /> 38 a. Minutes <br /> 39 The Board approved the minutes from February 5, 21, and 25, 2013 as submitted by the Clerk <br /> 40 to the Board. <br /> 41 b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 42 The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor vehicle <br /> 43 property tax values for forty-nine (49) taxpayers with a total of fifty-six (56) bills that will result in <br /> 44 a reduction of revenue in accordance with NCGS. <br /> 45 c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 46 The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax <br /> 47 values for eight (8) taxpayers with a total of fourteen (14) bills that will result in a reduction of <br /> 48 revenue in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. <br /> 49 d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br />
