Orange County Arts Commission—Appointments <br /> 4 The Board considered making appointments to the Orange County Arts Commission. <br /> 5 The Arts Commission will be awarding their Spring 2013 grant allocations in June and <br /> 6 have indicated that experienced Board members are needed for choosing the recipients of <br /> 7 these grants. <br /> 8 The newly adopted Board of County Commissioners Advisory Board policy states: <br /> g <br /> lU • No person appointed to an Orange County advisory board shall serve on that <br /> 11 board for more than two consecutive terms of three years each. <br /> 12 • Extension of a member's term may be approved by the Orange County Board of <br /> 13 Commissioners if it is determined that it is in the best interest of Orange County <br /> 14 to allow an individual to continue to serve. <br /> 15 <br /> 10 Therefore, the Arts Commission would like for the following members to remain on the Arts <br /> 17 Commission Board for an extended period through the Spring grant allocation. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 • Appointment to an extended term for Ms. Leah Rade, Ms. Bronwyn Merritt and Mr. <br /> 20 Charles Hochman for up to six months or until replacements are appointed. Orange County Parks and Recreation Council—Appointments <br /> 33 The Board considered making appointments to the Orange County Parks and <br /> 34 Recreation Council. <br /> 35 The Parks and Recreation Council will be completing the ongoing Parks and Recreation <br /> 36 Master Plan within the next three months.
