that those boards are supposed to just keep going and do what they felt they have been
directed to do under the timeline.
Chair Jacobs: I think we should be clear that we don't want them to rewrite the whole chapter.
Commissioner Gordon: I refer to the Transportation Board where they submitted their items
and it was in the appendix. If they want to try and fold that in or somehow try and figure out how
that fits, that they should be allowed to do that.
Chair Jacobs: Well, at this point, I think they should do just like all the other boards.
Commissioner Gordon: They might be able to fit everything that's in the appendix into the
format. It's been submitted and the consultant put it in the appendix. The consultant could have
handled it differently. It's not that you have to reread it, because it's in the appendix. I think
they were going to try and figure out somehow that they can comply, how they can make it
work. We shouldn't say they can't rewrite it. They were the board that got the information on
the night they were to make comments and so one of the meetings was not productive. They.
were actually able to recast it, and then when they did submit their comments, they were
. basically rejected and it was put in the appendix. I think we owe it to them to let them try and
figure out. They've been told that they're supposed to try to follow the guidelines we put down.
That's going to require some rewriting. The Transportation Element is going to require some
rewriting even though the Transportation Board hasn't said anything. There's not enough
emphasis on things like air quality and other things in there. It's going to need to be rewritten.
Tom Altieri: I think that we would certainly welcome specific comments from the OUT Board
and how their new format could be incorporated into the format we have now and the format
that was presented to the OUT Board in November of last year.
Chair Jacobs: So, it will go the Planning Board and the Planning Board will decide. I'm not
going to agree for any advisory board to rewrite its chapter. It should go to the Planning Board
and the Planning Board can decide how to deal with it.
Jay Bryan: We're fine with dealing with that.
Tom Altieri: Will the three of you be sending to staff comments as well, in addition to the two
Commissioners that were not here tonight, on the remaining sections?
Chair Jacobs: I think it's open through the public hearing for anybody to make comments,
including the Commissioners.
Commissioner Gordon: My interpretation is that the Commissioners are welcome to make
comments.
What are we going to do about the fact that the other jurisdictions have the wrong CD?
Tom Altieri: Let me investigate that first. These were done in separate batches, and I will
check to see if the correct version is on that CD.
CLOSED SESSION
