Harvey, Planner III, (919) 245 -2597 <br />Reynolds Ivins, Erosion Control, (919) 245 -2586 <br />Craig Benedict, Director, (919) 245 -2575 <br />PURPOSE: To receive the Planning Board's recommendation, close the public hearing, and <br />make a decision on Planning Director initiated text amendments to the Unified Development <br />Ordinance (UDO) in regards to the submission of formal, professionally prepared, site plans. <br />As a reminder, the reconvening of this hearing is solely to receive the Planning Board <br />recommendation and any additional written evidence submitted since the February 25, 2013 <br />Quarterly Public Hearing. This hearing is not intended to solicit additional input from the public <br />or the applicant. While the BOCC may ask staff questions related to the review of a given item, <br />comments from the public shall not be solicited. <br />BACKGROUND: This item was presented at the February 25, 2013 Quarterly Public Hearing <br />where staff indicated the amendment was intended to clarify existing language denoting when a <br />formal, professionally prepared, site plan is required for submittal. As proposed the amendment <br />would require a professionally prepared site plan when land disturbance activity exceeds <br />established stormwater management thresholds. The amendment also adds language requiring <br />formal stormwater management plan submittal for subdivisions as well. <br />Please refer to Section C.1(b) of Attachment 2 for a synopsis of comments made during the <br />public hearing as well as Attachment 5.
