RES- 2013 -039 <br />RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING A PROGRAM AMENDMENT TO THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />FY 2010 SCATTERED SITE HOUSING REHABILITATION <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND THE FY 2011 <br />ECONOMIC RECOVERY GRANT <br />Whereas, Orange County received a FY 2010 Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) Award for the Scattered Site Housing Rehabilitation <br />Program in the amount of $400,000 from the N.C. Department of Commerce on <br />March 14, 2011; and <br />Whereas, Orange County received a FY 2010 Economic Recovery <br />Program Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Award in the amount of <br />$400,000 from the N.C. Department of Commerce on March 14, 2011; and <br />Whereas, the County proposes to change the rehabilitation of one house <br />as grant activity from one grant to the other and two new units to the programs; <br />and <br />Whereas, the Housing Selection Committee has reviewed these plans <br />and endorsed them on March 5, 2013; and <br />Whereas, in order to participate, the County is required to amend its <br />current grants to include these new housing plans; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Orange County Board of <br />County Commissioners hereby authorizes the submission of a Program <br />Amendment to the N.C. Department of Commerce and authorizes the Chair of <br />the Board to execute all documents required by the N.C. Department of <br />Commerce — Division of Community Investment for the amendment. <br />This, the 7 t" day of May, 2013. <br />
