The Town of Chapel Hill offers a variety of additional parks and similar <br />amenities offering: <br />• Aquatics Center <br />• Swimming Pools <br />• Baseball, Softball, and multi - purpose Fields <br />• Batting Cage <br />• Skate Park <br />• Climbing Wall <br />• Community Centers <br />• Community Clay Studio <br />• Dog Parks <br />• Community Rose Garden <br />• Gymnasiums <br />• Picnic Shelters <br />• Tennis Courts <br />• Volleyball Courts <br />• Bocce Ball Courts <br />• Numerous Trails, Parks, and Greenways <br />Libraries <br />The Orange County Libraries exist to meet the recreational, <br />educational, and informational reading needs of the citizens of Orange <br />County through books and other library materials of general public <br />interest. The library serves as a center for reliable information and <br />promotes the communication of ideas. The library promotes an <br />informed and enlightened citizenry and strives to strengthen the fabric <br />of the community. <br />With a main library in Hillsborough, two additional branch libraries [in <br />Chapel Hill and Hillsborough] and a °cybrary" in Carrboro, Orange <br />County Libraries provide citizens free access to books, periodicals, <br />audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, computers, and internet as well as book <br />clubs, children's programs, computer classes, public meeting space, <br />and even an art gallery. <br />Additionally, Orange County and the Town of Chapel Hill jointly <br />support the separate Town of Chapel Hill Public Library. Use of the <br />library's services is free of charge to both Town and County residents. <br />Recognizing that highly specialized research collections and resources <br />are available to all North Carolina residents through the University <br />Library of UNC — Chapel Hill, The Town of Chapel Hill Public Library <br />offers complimentary library services, with a particular focus on <br />children's collections and recreational material. <br />Health Centers <br />The Orange County Health Department provides three facilities to <br />serve various health - related needs of residents: the Richard L. Whitted <br />Human Services Center in Hillsborough, the Southern Human Services <br />Center in Chapel Hill, and the Carr Mill Mall in Carrboro. Clinical dental <br />services for adults and children, nutrition counseling, tobacco <br />prevention, preventive health, immunizations, family planning, <br />maternity care, and primary care are all services provided through <br />Y 2013 -2014 Action Plan 49 <br />
