Public Facilities <br />From community centers to public parks to libraries and health centers, <br />Orange County residents have access to an array of high - quality public <br />facilities. <br />a. Status of Existing Facilities <br />Parks and Community Centers <br />The Orange County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to <br />the purpose of enriching the physical, social and emotional quality of <br />life of the people of Orange County. The Department provides a variety <br />of enjoyable and affordable recreation programs for individuals of all <br />ages and abilities and strives to offer programs that respond to the <br />changing needs and interests of the community. Additionally, the <br />Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing clean and <br />safe parks, preserves and greenways throughout the County, to <br />protecting and preserving the elements of natural and cultural heritage <br />within its parks, and to promoting the stewardship of these sites <br />through educational and conservational programs and practices. <br />The following parks, community centers, and recreation centers are <br />maintained by Orange County: <br />• Efland- Cheeks Park & Community Center <br />• Cedar Grove Park <br />• Central Recreation Center <br />• Eurosport Soccer Center <br />• Little River Regional Park <br />• Fairview Park (under construction) <br />Y 2013 -2014 Action Plan 48 <br />
