Local roads provide the most <br /> limited service capacity, but, in the aggregate, provide <br /> large land areas with access to more important roads and <br /> highways. <br /> Interstates 40 and 85 are designated as Interstates, while <br /> five roads in the township are classified as arterial roads; <br /> US70 and its Bypass,, NC86, NC57,, Old NC86, and St. Mary's <br /> Road (SR1002) .
