13 <br />The edge of the Triangle <br />Chapel Fill I Carribovo I Hillsborough <br />March 19, 2013 <br />Donna Baker/ Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />Frank Clifton, County Manager <br />Re: Recommended appointment of Meg McGurk <br />On behalf of the Chapel Hill /Orange County Visitors Bureau and Board, please accept the <br />recommendation of Meg McGurk, Executive Director of the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership. <br />The Bureau works closely with the Downtown Partnership in many aspects relating to annual <br />events, promotions and issues pertaining to downtown Chapel Hill. Ms. McGurk would represent <br />the DTP as an ex- officio member. <br />Ms. McGurk would begin her first term immediately or upon the approval of the BOCC and will <br />serve a term of three years as stated in the Orange County Board of County Commissioner's <br />Advisory Board Policy. <br />The Visitor Bureau and Board believe that Ms. McGurk will represent and serve the interests of <br />the Orange County communities and visitor alike. <br />)r <br />Bureau <br />Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau 1 501 W.
