5 <br /> 1 Historic Preservation Ordinance. Following this joint public hearing, the BOCC and the HPC <br /> 2 will take into consideration any public comments in preparing the final ordinance. The HPC will <br /> 3 then return the final version of the proposed ordinance for the Board's consideration and <br /> 4 adoption at their April 9th meeting. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 NO PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Commissioner Rich said this was very informative and thanked the staff and HPC for <br /> 9 their work. She asked how many properties in Orange County have this status. <br /> 10 Pete Sandbeck said there are five properties in Orange County at this time and the <br /> 11 process takes about six months. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Chair Jacobs said the County Commissioners did bring forth the HPC comments to the <br /> 14 joint meeting with the Town of Hillsborough. <br /> 15 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br /> 16 refer the designation ordinance back to the Historic Preservation Commission for its final review <br /> 17 and recommendation, with the HPC returning a final version of the proposed ordinance for the <br /> 18 Board's consideration and adoption at their April 9th meeting. <br /> 19 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 20 <br /> 21 b.
