Staff will be <br /> 5 extending these existing classifications on those portions of property now located in <br /> 6 our jurisdiction. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 IMPACTED AREA - 9% LINE: (Map) <br /> 9 <br /> 10 RECOMMENDATION: <br /> 11 • The Manager recommends the Board approve the attached Amendment Outline <br /> 12 Form and direct staff to proceed accordingly. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 When presenting slide 5, Craig Benedict noted that there are two communities where <br /> 15 work still needs to be done, with Mill Creek and Morrow Mill and this will not be forgotten. <br /> 16 Michael Harvey noted that there will be an open house in April for impacted property <br /> 17 owners and notification requirements will be followed. <br /> 18 Commissioner Rich asked if the zoning would be consistent with the property that is <br /> 19 already there. <br /> 20 Michael Harvey said yes, they are just extending existing zoning and land use <br /> 21 categories. <br /> 22 Commissioner Rich asked if there were any foreseeable problems with this. <br /> 23 Michael Harvey said no. <br /> 24 Chair Jacobs and Frank Clifton reviewed more historical information for the newer board <br /> 25 members. <br /> 26 A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier seconded by Commissioner Rich to: <br /> 27 Approve the processes' components and schedule for a Planning Director initiated item for <br /> 28 amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map and Zoning Atlas related to the <br /> 29 finalization of the Orange-Alamance County Line, currently scheduled for the May 28, 2013 <br /> 30 Quarterly Public Hearing. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 33 <br /> 34 b. Follow-up Discussion on the Continuation of the Historic Rogers Road <br /> 35 Neighborhood Task Force <br /> 36 <br /> 37 The Board considered follow-up on Board discussions at the January 24, 2013 regular <br /> 38 meeting and the January 29, 2013 work session regarding the continuation of the Historic <br /> 39 Rogers Road Neighborhood Task Force with consideration of the following: requesting that the <br /> 40 Towns appoint their respective representatives; confirming the appointment of Commissioners <br /> 41 Penny Rich and Renee Price to serve on the Task Force; consider appointing David Caldwell <br /> 42 and Robert Campbell from the Rogers Eubanks Neighborhood Association (RENA) to serve on <br /> 43 the Task Force; and confirming the Charge and a Timeline for the continued activities of the <br /> 44 Task Force. <br /> 45 Frank Clifton said the board requested this to come back for review. He said the Board <br /> 46 took action tonight on the consent agenda for appointments on this task force. He said that the <br /> 47 two citizens need to be reappointed and the towns need to appoint as well. He said that <br /> 48 clarification was asked for on the motions from January 24th <br /> 49 Chair Jacobs asked for clarification of the task force timeline included in the motion, <br /> 50 which is 6 months from adoption, and he noted 6 months from adoption would be July 24th <br />
