Consequently, researchers must consider how each site helps address the questions <br /> within the project research design and within the framework mfother regional research (Butler <br /> 79Q7)' <br /> The potential of any archaeological site to address research questions is based on determining <br /> the intactness of cultural deposits (integrity), the variety and quantity of artifacts, the clarity of <br /> site stratigraphy and the discreteness of site boundaries, and on the environmental context of <br /> each site (G>asomvxl977)' |m addition, the relative occurrence wf cultural assemblages inthe <br /> region was taken into account during site evaluation to help address issues mf rarity and <br /> redundancy(Butler l987; G|assovx1977)' <br /> G. REPORTING <br /> Upon completion mfthe fieldwork, a management summary mf the results of the investigation <br /> will be pnepaced' This management summary will describe the preliminary interpretations and <br /> the course of analysis, certifying that the research design set forth has been implemented and <br /> that the fieldwork specified has been completed. The management summary will include a <br /> description of the survey, a summary of results, and recommendations. The management <br /> summary will be delivered to Orange County within 15 working days after the completion of <br /> fieldwork via email. <br /> Following completion of analyses, a report will be prepared detailing the results of the field <br /> investigation. The report will detail the results of the background research, fieldwork, and <br /> laboratory analysis. The report will be illustrated with photographs and drawings of sites and <br /> artifacts, as needed, and will conform to the reporting standards presented in the OSA <br /> guidelines. In addition to the report, archaeological site forms will be completed for each <br /> recorded site arisolated find' <br /> The report will include the fm||ovvimg key elements: results of bachonmmmd research, <br /> archaeological site significance assessment and NRHP recommendations, scale mapping an <br /> |ocatimna| iufmrmnatiom; and additional work recommendations, ifany. <br /> H. DELIVERABLES <br /> Deliverables under this contract will include the following. <br /> • Dated management summary reporting the results of the intensive survey and <br /> evauation investigations delivered via email. <br /> • Two initial copies of the draft reports on the intensive survey and evaluation <br /> investigations for Orange County review with completed North Carolina <br /> Archaeological Site Forms. <br /> • Four copies of the final report mn medium-weight bond paper, bound mr <br /> staples, after all review comments have been addressed. <br /> 1. SCHEDULE <br /> Legacy will proceed with this project in an expeditious manner once the Notice to Proceed (NTP) <br /> is received. Fieldwork will be completed with two weeks after NTP.
