He said that in the early 2000's this was the area, larger in size than <br /> Chapel Hill and Carrboro together, that Hillsborough thought it could grow into. This was a 50 <br /> year sewer service area. Hillsborough realized that the existing water resources would not <br /> service the entire area, so planning began for an urban service line, shown on the map as a <br /> magenta line. He noted the color designations: Dark Grey are the incorporated sections of <br /> Hillsborough and light grey is Extra-territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of Hillsborough. Some ETJs <br />
