Pope Farm National Register Nomination <br /> The Board considered the Orange County Historic Preservation Commission's <br /> recommendation that the Captain John S. Pope Farm be submitted for listing in the National <br /> Register of Historic Places and authorizing the Chair to sign the associated letter. <br /> Rich Shaw Land Conservation Manager introduced a new staff member; Cultural <br /> Resources Coordinator Peter Sandbeck. <br /> Peter Sandbeck said that he was appearing on behalf of the Historic Preservation <br /> Commission. He said that Mr. Pope was unable to be there tonight. He said that this is a <br /> working farm, but it is significant. It is also a century farm and has been operated by the same <br /> family for over 100 years. He made a PowerPoint presentation of pictures. This farm is <br /> located on Efland-Cedar Grove Road. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> approve the Orange County Historic Preservation Commission's recommendation that the <br /> Captain John S.
