NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the University of North Carolina <br /> women's soccer team, for the Tar Heels' outstanding achievement, and for their <br /> inspiration to youth across the nation through their dedication, teamwork, and <br /> athletic prowess. <br /> This the twenty-fourth day of January 2013. <br /> Anson Dorrance thanked the Board of County Commissioners for their commitment to <br /> soccer in Orange County and introduced members from his team. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br /> adopt the proclamation recognizing the UNC women's soccer team for winning the 2012 NCAA <br /> Division I Women's Soccer National Championship and authorize the Chair to sign. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> b. Proclamation Recognizing East Chapel Hill High School Field Hockey Team <br /> 2012 State Championship <br /> The Board considered a proclamation recognizing the East Chapel Hill High School's <br /> Field Hockey Team winning the 2012 State Championship and authorizing the Chair to sign. <br /> Commissioner Gordon read the proclamation. <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION ON <br /> EAST CHAPEL HILL HIGH SCHOOL'S FIELD HOCKEY TEAM WINNING THE <br /> 2012 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP <br /> WHEREAS, on November 10, 2012, the East Chapel Hill High School's Field Hockey Team <br /> captured the N. C. High School Field Hockey Association's State Championship; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, under the guidance of Head Coach Susan Taylor, the East Chapel Hill High <br /> School's Field Hockey Team earned its fifth consecutive state title; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Wildcats completed the season without a loss, finishing with a 19-0-1 record; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment, the Wildcats have <br /> brought honor upon themselves, East Chapel Hill High School, the Chapel Hill / <br /> Carrboro School District and Orange County; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the East Chapel Hill High <br />
