27 <br /> 1 A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> 2 appoint Erin Dillard to a term expiring March 31, 2013 to the Orange County Parks and <br /> 3 Recreation Council. <br /> 4 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 5 <br /> 6 12. Board Comments <br /> 7 Commissioner Pelissier, Commissioner Rich, and Commissioner McKee had no <br /> 8 comment. <br /> 9 Commissioner Dorosin said that on February 2nd there is a forum on student discipline <br /> 10 and student success at the Century Center from 1:00-4:00. He is delivering the keynote <br /> 11 address. <br /> 12 Commissioner Gordon said that the NCDOT staff gave a new schedule that delays the <br /> 13 adoption of TIP for one year. <br /> 14 Chair Jacobs said that the 15th annual Agricultural Summit is February 11th at the Schley <br /> 15 Grange Hall. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 13. Closed Session <br /> 26 A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner McKee to go <br /> 27 into closed session at 10:50 PM for the purposes below: <br /> 28 "Pursuant to G.S. § 143-318.11(a)(3) "to consult with an attorney retained by the Board in order <br /> 29 to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the Board." <br /> 30 <br /> 31 "To discuss matters related to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in the <br /> 32 area served by the public body, including agreement on a tentative list of economic <br /> 33 development incentives that may be offered by the public body in negotiations," NCGS § 143- <br /> 34 318.11(a)(4). <br /> 35 <br /> 36 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 37 <br /> 38 RECONVENE INTO REGULAR SESSION <br /> 39 <br /> 40 <br /> 41 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee seconded by Commissioner Dorosin to <br /> 42 reconvene into regular session at 11:45pm. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 45 <br /> 46 <br /> 47 15.
