14 <br /> 1 Alex Castro said that Orange County should support and fund OPT in any way possible. <br /> 2 If Orange County can get a grant, then it should ask for it. He said that OPT needs to be <br /> 3 expanded on the capital side. <br /> 4 A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to: <br /> 5 1. Close the public hearing to receive public comments on the proposed grant application; <br /> 6 2. Approve the Community Transportation Program Grant application for FY 2013-2014 in <br /> 7 the total amount of$185,605, with a local match of$27,841; <br /> 8 3. Authorize the County Attorney to complete the necessary certifications and assurances <br /> 9 which have been requested from NCDOT; <br /> 10 4. Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Community Transportation Program <br /> 11 Resolution, and sign the annual certified statements of participation when they are <br /> 12 completed; and <br /> 13 5. Accept and budget the receipt of the CTP grant once awarded. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Commissioner Dorosin verified that the request is for money for administration and no <br /> 16 capital items. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 19 <br /> 20 c. Amendments to Unified Development Ordinance Text— Incorporate <br /> 21 Changes Suggested by MuniCode (UDO/Zoning 2012-15) - Public Hearing Closure and <br /> 22 Action (No Additional Comments Accepted) <br /> 23 The Board received the Planning Board's recommendation, closed the public hearing, <br /> 24 and considered a decision on Planning Director initiated text amendments to the Unified <br /> 25 Development Ordinance (UDO) to incorporate changes suggested by MuniCode, a corporation <br /> 26 retained by Orange County to codify the County's ordinances. <br /> 27 Planner Perdita Holtz said that these amendments were suggested by MuniCode. The <br /> 28 Planning Board considered these amendments and voted unanimously to recommend approval. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier, seconded by Commissioner McKee to: <br /> 31 1. Receive the Planning Board's recommendation of approval; <br /> 32 2. Close the public hearing; and <br /> 33 3. Adopt the ordinance contained in Attachment 2 which authorizes the text amendments. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 36 <br /> 37 d.
