21 <br /> 1 Clerk to the Board Donna Baker said that she heard from Representative lnsko that for <br /> 2 governmental entities the deadline is March 3rd <br /> 3 Greg Wilder said that in past years the representatives have been appointed before the <br /> 4 holiday break. <br /> 5 A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Dorosin to <br /> 6 add this appointment to the agenda. <br /> 7 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Chair Jacobs asked who would like to serve on the Legislative Issues Work Group and <br /> 10 Commissioner Dorosin volunteered. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> 13 nominate Commissioner McKee as the other legislative representative. <br /> 14 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Chair Jacobs said that the County Commissioners received an email from Triangle J <br /> 17 Council of Governments regarding some issues about changing the way in which North <br /> 18 Carolina levies taxation. <br /> 19 Chair Jacobs said that the retreat committee met again and they hope to review the <br /> 20 notes to get to the Board by the end of the year. <br /> 21 Chair Jacobs said that they are hoping to reestablish the Chair/Vice-Chair/Manager to <br /> 22 meet with their counterparts, starting with Durham County, regarding proposed agenda items <br /> 23 for Board of County Commissioners to submit. <br /> 24 Chair Jacobs congratulated other retirees in the County - Charles Blackwood from the <br /> 25 Sheriff's Department and Tommy Jones from the Orange Grove Fire Department. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 13.
