Intensive Home Visiting Program <br /> Grant Project Ordinance <br /> Project Number 11-648 <br /> Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section 13.2 of <br /> Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina,the following grant project is hereby adopted. <br /> Section 1. The project authorized is the Intensive Home Visiting Demonstration Program as <br /> awarded to the Orange County Health Department by the North Carolina Division of <br /> Women and Children's Health, Department of Health and Human Services. The planned <br /> two-year project period continues until June 30, 2001. This grant provides funding for <br /> 3.5 permanent, time-limited positions through the grant period. The grant provides funds <br /> to decrease child abuse and neglect, improve parent-child interaction, ensure adequate use <br /> of preventive family support services, improve children's health h and development, and <br /> improve the service delivery system in Orange County by decreasing fragmentation and <br /> duplication. <br /> Section 2. Under the terms of the agreement, Orange County will administer the grant as fiscal <br /> agent. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the grant project <br /> within the rules and regulations contained in the grant document, the rules and <br /> regulations of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and the <br /> budget contained herein. <br /> Section 3. The following revenue is anticipated to be available to complete this project: <br /> Intergovenunental.(1997-98) $105,000 <br /> Intergovemmental(1998-99) $100,000 <br /> Intergovernmental(1999-00) $89,471 <br /> Total Intergovernmental $294,471 <br /> Smart Start(1998-99) $15,965 <br /> Smart Start(1999-00) $47,578 <br /> Smart Start(2000-01) $87.71 <br /> Total Smart Start $151,253 <br /> Title MX-Medicaid(1998-99) $35,178 <br /> Title MX-Medicaid(1999-00) $15,863 <br /> Title MX-Medicaid(2000-01) $56.55 <br /> Total Medicaid $107,593 <br /> Total Intensive Home Visiting Revenue $553,317 <br />
