Section IV.2 Communications <br /> a <br /> CA <br /> Draper Aden Associates anticipates that there will be frequent <br /> communication and interaction between Draper Aden Associates' <br /> project personnel and the owner. The goal will be to listen, and <br /> then listen some more, to completely understand the needs and <br /> the desires of the Town of Chapel Hill as they relate to the <br /> design,operation,and economic issues of the project. <br /> The CQA services which Draper Aden Associates will provide <br /> include the performance of QA Engmeeting, Construction <br /> Management and QC soils testing in accordance with the project <br /> plans and specifications. <br /> In order to improve communication, and provide potential savings <br /> to the Town of Chapel Hill. Draper Aden Associates can provide a <br /> highly qualified QA Officer (QAO) on site full time to provide <br /> both general CM Services and QC soils testing services for the <br /> contractor during.the placing of the soil component of the liner <br /> system. Draper Aden Associates' QA Engineer will perform <br /> weekly site visits with routine attendance at job site meetings to <br /> update progress, provide testing clarification and monitor the <br /> performance of the contractor. As part of this scope of work, <br /> Draper Aden Associates construction administration services will <br /> include items such as coordinating job site meetings, processing of <br /> submittals, maintaining submittal review files, updating <br /> construction schedules, interpreting construction documentation, <br /> processing change orders and reviewing contractor pay requests. <br /> The QA Officer (QAO) will provide on-site monitoring of the <br /> construction operations and perform soils and aggregate quality <br /> control sampling, monitor synthetic conformance testing, and <br /> additional testing and reporting mandated by the specifications. He <br /> will maintain daily logs, test records and certificates in a well- <br /> organized, tabulated mazmer. The QAO will notify the contractor <br /> immediately of non-complying test results and will be available to <br /> verify remediation and retesting of non-complying work. He will <br /> maintain an awareness of the project in order to detect conditions, <br /> which may directty or indirectly jeopardize the integrity of the <br /> project. <br /> Upon completion of the project,the QAE, CM, and QAO will work <br /> in direct communication with Chapel Hill personnel to prepare the <br />
