111 <br />A crash analysis performed for the Orange County CTP factored crash frequency, crash <br />type, and crash severity. Crash frequency is the total number of reported crashes and <br />contributes to the ranking of the most problematic intersections. Crash type provides a <br />general description of the crash and allows the identification of any trends that may be <br />correctable through roadway or intersection improvements. Crash severity is the crash <br />rate based upon injuries and property damage incurred. <br />The severity of every crash is measured with a <br />the NCDOT Division of Highways (DOH).
