For 2013, <br /> three Orange County artists were selected (Nadjib Adebola Assani -film, Stacy Crabill - painting, and <br /> Jessica Dupuis-craft).They will each receive$1,500 to help support their proposed projects. We will <br /> continue our$1,500 contribution for 2013-14. <br /> With anticipated support from the Orange County commissioners and the Hillsborough Historic <br /> District Commission,we plan to site a public art project in the Historic District of downtown <br /> Hillsborough near the Justice Facility during 2013-14. Hillsborough artists Michael Waller& Leah <br /> Foushee were chosen by panel review to be the artist team. Their commission will be at least <br /> $10,000 in county funds, and we anticipate an additional$2,000 in installation costs. <br /> We will continue our collaborative marketing initiative with various partners (individuals and both <br /> private and nonprofit organizations)promoting the area's outdoor sculpture tours. <br /> We plan to launch a new, responsive website design &e-newsletter in mid-2013, utilizing county <br /> funds. <br /> 3. Describe the services you provide to arts organizations in your county. (max. 5000 <br /> characters and spaces) <br /> -Two annual grant programs (Spring and Fall)that fund artists(up to$1,000 each), nonprofit <br /> organizations (up to$5,000 each)and schools(up to$1,000 each) <br /> -Skills development for artists and arts organizations on grant-writing and other topics <br /> -Online monthly e-newsletter(emailed to our database)including information for local artists, arts <br /> organizations and arts patrons <br /> -Clearinghouse of arts information on/for Orange County <br /> -Website (www.artsorange.org)with information on all our services, searchable online local arts <br /> directory, etc.) <br /> - Free online arts and entertainment calendar(www.ExploreChapelHillARTS.com)for artists and arts <br /> organizations in Orange County to post their events and portfolios <br /> 4. Describe the services you provide to individual artists in your county and your <br /> participation in and support of the Regional Artists Project Grant program.
