Currently, our advisory board consists of 5 males and 10 females. Our board members range <br /> in age from the late twenty's to the mid-seventies. <br /> Our Advisory Board members are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners(BOCC)of <br /> Orange County. <br /> We suggest the names of interested volunteer applicants to the BOCC throughout the year as <br /> vacancies occur. Our board members are appointed by the BOCC for 3-year terms. Board members <br /> can serve 2 consecutive 3-year terms before they have to rotate off the board for at least one year. <br /> After that time, they can apply to the BOCC to be considered for re-appointment. We have several <br /> board members that have been re-appointed to the Arts Commission Advisory Board after serving the <br /> maximum of six years and rotating off for one year. <br /> Once volunteer(s)are appointed by the BOCC,the Orange County Arts Commission(OCAC)Board <br /> Chair and the Arts Commission Coordinator meet with them for a"new member orientation" prior to <br /> their first board meeting. <br /> We have 2 standing committees:the Executive Committee and the Nominating Committee. <br /> #DCP0004 Page 12 <br />
