ZI/7-,2�000 <br /> ORIGINAL SIGNATURES <br /> COPY _ <br /> Consulting Agreement between Orange Coun ty and Harshman LooInST <br /> l ing Inc. goGG <br /> This agreement is made and entered into as of the 1 st day of May, 2000 by and between Orange <br /> County,hereinafter referred to as the "County" and Harshman Consulting, Inc,hereinafter <br /> referred to as"Consultant", for assisting the County with an assessment of options for <br /> implementing a Register of Deeds computer imaging system. <br /> WHEREAS,the County and the Consultant mutually agree to the following: <br /> 1. The intention of the Agreement is to provide general advisory consulting to <br /> Orange County (OC) during the process of transitioning from the current system <br /> to a new Imaging System for Vital Records. OC wishes to take advantage of the <br /> exposure and knowledge gained by Mr. Harshman during his previous <br /> engagement regarding this transition process and to use his services to oversee <br /> and advise OC as they go forward. <br /> 2. The engagement shall proceed in four sequential Phases, each having an <br /> approximate duration of two weeks, and each having a specific consulting focus <br /> and deliverable documentation as defined in the attached "Exhibit A". These <br /> Phases follow the general sequence of steps outlined in the Recommendations <br /> section of the Report submitted during the previous engagement. <br /> 3. Each Phase shall be billed when completed and cost of work for each Phase shall <br /> not exceed $5,000.00, with the total cost for all four Phases not to exceed <br /> $20,000.00. Reasonable travel expenses will be billed and reimbursed at cost. <br /> 4. All documents shall be delivered to the Register of Deeds on a schedule mutually <br /> agreeable to the Register and the Consultant. <br /> 5.
