In the past, staff has produced an <br /> Ordinance amending the zoning atlas containing a statement detailing how the <br /> amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of the Comprehensive Plan and is <br /> in the public interest. <br /> Now, we are required to take 2 separate actions when dealing with a zoning atlas <br /> amendment, specifically: <br /> • Adoption of an Ordinance approving or rejecting the proposed atlas <br /> amendment, and <br /> • Adoption of a separate statement denoting the atlas amendment complies <br /> with an adopted comprehensive plan.
