Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal year <br /> 2012-13. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Social Services <br /> 1. The Department of Social Services has received $10,000, in pass-through revenue, <br /> from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to administer the Orange County Drug <br /> Treatment Court. The department will provide court-appointed drug screenings for <br /> offenders and be reimbursed, by the State. This budget amendment provides for the <br /> receipt of these reimbursable funds, for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment <br /> 1, column 1) <br /> Library <br /> 2. The Orange County Library has received donations totaling $12,115. The Friends of <br /> the Orange County Library has donated $11,615 for an additional self-checkout unit <br /> on the second floor, of the Main Library. The Greenwald Family, from the Triangle <br /> Community Foundation, has donated $500, which the department will use to <br /> supplement reading prizes for its Children, Teen and Adult summer programs. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these donated funds, for the above <br /> stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, column 2) <br />
