(Terracon) appreciates the opportunity to submit this proposal to <br /> provide geotechnical engineering services for the proposed water and sewer line improvements <br /> in Mebane, North Carolina. The purpose of our services will be to evaluate the geotechnical <br /> conditions at the pipe crossing locations and to develop geotechnical parameters, which will <br /> assist in the design and construction of the crossings. This proposal outlines our understanding <br /> of the project and scope of services and provides a lump sum fee for our services. <br /> 1.0 PROJECT INFORMATION <br /> The project information tabulated below is based on site plans provided by Hobbs, Upchurch & <br /> Associates and aerial views of the site. No site visit was performed prior to preparing this <br /> proposal. <br /> Orange County will be installing water and sewer lines to serve an Economic Development <br /> District located along the 1-40/85 corridor east of the City of Mebane. The project includes <br /> multiple directional bore and horizontal bore and jack installations.
