Year-To-Date Budget <br />Summary <br />PURPOSE: <br />To approve budget,grant, and capitalproject ordinanceamendments for fiscal year <br />2012-13. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Social Services <br />1.The Department of Social Services has received$10,000, inpass-through revenue, <br />from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Boardto administer the Orange County Drug <br />Treatment Court. The department will provide court-appointed drug screenings for <br />offenders and bereimbursed, by the State. This budget amendment provides for the <br />receipt of these reimbursable funds,for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment <br />1, column 1) <br />Library <br />2.The Orange County Library has received donations totaling $12,115. The Friends of <br />the Orange County Library has donated $11,615 for an additional self-checkout unit <br />on the second floor, of the Main Library. The Greenwald Family, from the Triangle <br />Community Foundation, has donated $500, which the department will use to <br />supplementreading prizes for its Children, Teen and Adult summer programs. This <br />budget amendment provides for the receipt of these donated funds, for the above <br />stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> <br />
