3 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Commissioner Foushee thanked the residents of Orange County for the opportunity to <br /> 4 serve all of them and she thanked them for their support. She looks forward to serving this <br /> 5 area in the legislature. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Resolution of Commendation for Commissioner Pam Hemminger: <br /> 8 <br /> 9 ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> 10 <br /> 11 RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION <br /> 12 FOR <br /> 13 COMMISSIONER PAM HEMMINGER <br /> 14 <br /> 15 <br /> 16 WHEREAS, the residents of Orange County elected Pam Hemminger to the Board of County <br /> 17 Commissioners in 2008; and <br /> 18 <br /> 19 WHEREAS, Pam Hemminger has been a resident of Orange County for over 25 years and <br /> 20 has served the residents of Orange County faithfully with honor, integrity and <br /> 21 distinction for the past four years, including being elected by her peers as Vice- <br /> 22 Chair of the Board of Commissioners for 2012; and <br /> 23 <br /> 24 WHEREAS, Commissioner Hemminger has always been mindful of the interests and <br /> 25 concerns of Orange County residents and has brought new and innovative ideas <br /> 26 to the Board of Commissioners while continually encouraging the Board and staff <br /> 27 to think "outside of the box"; and <br /> 28 <br /> 29 WHEREAS, during her tenure as an Orange County Commissioner, Pam Hemminger has <br /> 30 shared her talent for leadership and public service through her work on <br /> 31 numerous boards and commissions including serving as the Commissioner <br /> 32 liaison/member to the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board, the Community <br /> 33 Home Trust Board, the Orange County Parks & Recreation Council, the <br /> 34 Intergovernmental Parks Work Group, the Workforce Development Board- <br /> 35 Regional Partnership, Triangle J Council of Governments (Alternate) and the <br /> 36 Upper Neuse River Basin Authority (UNRBA), of which she is currently chair; <br /> 37 <br /> 38 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 39 officially commends Pam Hemminger for her hard work, dedication and <br /> 40 exemplary service to the people of Orange County, and wishes her and her <br /> 41 family the very best in their future endeavors. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 <br /> 44 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be presented to Ms. Pam Hemminger, with a <br /> 45 copy sent to the media, and that the Resolution be spread upon the minutes of <br /> 46 this meeting. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 This the twentieth day of November 2012. <br /> 49 <br />
