Those invited were given feedback on what <br /> kind of policies the State should have for funding for transportation for the Piedmont Crescent <br /> area, which is Orange County all the way to Charlotte. <br /> Chair Pelissier said that at the Triangle Transit Authority Board meeting it was noted <br /> that the Federal Transportation Administration sent several people here to look at the transit <br /> routes in respect to the New Starts application for the light rail plan. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs acknowledged that the voters of Orange County approved the <br /> '/�-cent sales tax for transit. <br /> Commissioner Gordon congratulated the four commissioners who were just elected or <br /> re-elected to the Board of County Commissioners and also congratulated Commissioner <br /> Foushee for being elected to the General Assembly. <br /> 13.
