He thinks that there will be an increase in interest and visits. He is <br /> 41 excited to market this area with news of these utilities. <br /> 42 Chair Pelissier asked that this be marketed right away. <br /> 43 Steve Brantley said that he could forward a press release statewide and to the North <br /> 44 Carolina Department of Commerce. <br /> 45 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Foushee to <br /> 46 award the bid and approve a construction contract to J.F. Wilkerson Contracting of Morrisville, <br /> 47 NC in the amount of $4,016,545.74 for the installation of Buckhorn Mebane Phase 2 water and <br /> 48 sanitary sewer system; approve Budget Amendment #3-C for $1 ,016,546 (last year's Capital <br /> 49 Investment Plan (CIP) cost estimate did not include some cost efficient water and sewer scope <br /> 50 additions that can be completed in this phase rather than during later phases); authorize the <br /> 51 Chair to sign the contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, subject to final <br /> 52 review by the County Attorney; and authorize the Manager to execute individual change orders <br /> 53 within the limit of the Manager's authority ($250,000) up to the extent of the project budget. <br /> 54 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
