<br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date:February 5, 2013 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No.4-a <br />SUBJECT: <br />Orange County Arts Grant Recipients <br />DEPARTMENT:PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N)No <br />Orange County Arts <br />Commission <br />ATTACHMENT(S):INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Copy of Awards to be DistributedMartha Shannon, 968-2011 <br />“Specific Attendee List to Follow” <br />PURPOSE: <br />To present checks to local artists and arts organizations receiving Fall 2012 <br />Orange County Arts Grants. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Orange County Arts Commission grants moniesto local artists and arts <br />organizations from funds received from the state and Orange County governmentfor this <br />purpose.These funds are distributed for arts programming in all disciplines. Each grant <br />recipient must match the grant amount in order to receive funding. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />A total of $26,749will be awarded in this cycle. This amount is awarded <br />from FY2012-13 Orange County funds already approved by the BOCC for this purpose. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />The Manager recommends the Board acknowledge local recipients <br />of the awards during the February 5, 2013 meeting with the presentation of checks by the Board <br />Chair. <br /> <br />
