Lack of a Viable Interlocal Agreement <br /> <br />The SWAB has served a valuable function as a regular forum where <br />elected officials, staff, and citizens of Orange County can inte <br />waste issues. As was noted in the prior 2011 and 2012 goals docu <br />to the BOCC, SWAB continues to see a clear need for a close revi <br />revision of the current Interlocal Agreement for Solid Waste Man <br />Such revision is needed in light of the shifting realities of <br />intergovernmental relationships, pending landfill closure, issue <br />Tract status, and the need to maintain a high quality of solid w <br />services in a period of severe fiscal constraints. <br /> <br />The process to revise the current ILA as a result of pending lan <br />was suspended pending completion of the Chapel Hill Solid Waste <br />That study has been completed and submitted to the Chapel Hill T <br />Council.
