7 <br />NAME OF BOARD/COMMISSION: Animal Services Advisory Board (ASAB) <br />January 2012 December 2012 <br />Report Period: <br />a genuine bridge in the absence of a designated Commissioner lia <br />the ASAB. <br /> <br />In addition, the ASAB collaborated with Animal Services staff to <br />reconstitute the boards membership once the BOCC lifted its fre <br />appointments to boards and commissions. This ongoing effort ha <br />included interviewing ASAB candidates and making a recommendatio <br />the to the BOCC for vacant positions. It has also included cond <br />orientation for all new members, conducted by the ASAB Chair and <br />department Director, which provides an overview of County anima <br />services and introduction to the advisory board in relation to <br />governance. <br /> <br />List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponso <br /> <br />As previously noted, the ASAB hosted a variety of partner organi <br />thereby helping to strengthen important working relationships.
