31 <br />NAME OF BOARD/COMMISSION: Orange Unified Transportation Board <br /> <br />(OUTBoard) <br />Report Period: 2012 <br />What are the concerns or emerging issues your board has identifi <br />upcoming year that it plans to address, or wishes to bring to th <br /> <br />CommissionersÂ’ attention? <br /> <br />1. Following adoption, research and provide recommendations on <br />implementation of the Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP). <br />2. Collector Street Plan review and recommendations with an emph <br />Economic Development areas. <br />3. Safe Route To School (SRTS) Strategic Action Plan adoption an <br />implementation. <br />4. Review of new transportation related technologies (e.g., asse <br />of use of smart phones for employment connections), and other <br />innovations promoting transportation commuting alternatives (e.g <br />Cars). <br />5. Enhanced regional transportation planning and operational eff <br />including rural services as noted in the Orange County Bus and R <br />Investment Plan. <br />6. Pursuit of funding sources for transportation projects. <br />7. Revisit OUTBoard Rules of Procedure to address township <br />representation, and in the event OPT remains within the auspice <br />Orange County Government, then additional amendments will be req <br />to comply with State regulations regarding transportation servic <br />operational duties. <br />8. Review Orange County Master Aging Plan 2012-2017 strategies i <br />transportation and mobility and provide recommendations. <br /> <br />Note: These items will require staff resources. We assume we w <br />at full staff capacity in the Spring of 2013. <br /> <br /> <br />
