28 <br />NAME OF BOARD/COMMISSION: Orange Unified Transportation Board <br /> <br />(OUTBoard) <br />Report Period: 2012 <br />1. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a recurring <br />process: <br />First year - develop priority list of projects to request in TIP <br />approval. <br />Second year – recommend comments regarding draft TIP for BOCC <br />approval to submit to NCDOT during public comment period. <br /> <br />In 2012, the OUTBoard reviewed active NCDOT projects in the Coun <br />including various paving, construction and CMAQ projects; and as <br />with the identification and prioritization of NCDOT projects for <br />(TARPO RPO) and metropolitan (DCHC MPO and BG MPO) planning <br />areas. <br /> <br />2. Received an update from the Planning staff on the NCDOT quart <br />luncheon topics of discussion. <br /> <br />3.
