• Changing the March 12, 2013 BOCC Work Session FROM Link Government Services <br />Center TO Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill (since <br />the February 12, 2013 Work Session would be moved from Southern Human Services <br />Center to Link Government Services Center and staff tries to balance the number of <br />meetings between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough). <br />RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its regular meeting <br />calendar for 2013 by: <br />• Changing the BOCC Regular meeting from December 17, 2013 TO December 10, 2013, <br />and this meeting will be held at the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead <br />Road, Chapel Hill, N.C. <br />• Changing the location of the February 12, 2013 BOCC work session FROM Southern <br />Human Services Center TO the Link Government Services Center, 200 South Cameron <br />St., Hillsborough <br />Staff is requesting this change because the agenda for the Work Session will include the <br />discussion of four County facilities located in Hillsborough. First, the opportunity to <br />renovate the Whitted Building for a Board Meeting Room /Arts Performance Place. <br />Second, the possibility of a stand -alone BOCC meeting facility at the current Government <br />Services Annex location. Third, the possible relocation of the Board of Elections to the <br />Link Government Services Center. Fourth, planned maintenance and repair <br />expenditures for Fiscal Year 2013/2014 at the Environment & Agriculture Center and <br />alternatives for the highest and best use of the facility. All Board members have not <br />likely seen all of these facilities.
