K <br />Social Services <br />6. The Department of Social Services has received the following funds: <br />• Energy Assistance — receipt of revenue totaling $150,706 in Low - Income <br />Home Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) funds. The block grant program <br />has awarded an additional $105,634 for crisis - related, heating needs of <br />Orange County residents. The department has also received $45,072 in <br />administrative funds for personnel and program supply needs. <br />• Crisis Intervention — receipt of $239,141 to provide for crisis - related heating <br />needs, of Orange County residents. <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br />Attachment 1, column 6) <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve budget and grant <br />project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2012 -13. <br />
