Chair Jacobs suggested that staff do a one-paragraph summary of the impact on <br /> Orange County and that this be ready for the legislative breakfast on April 21st. He said that <br /> this is an unfortunate interpretation. <br /> Commissioner Gordon said that it should be highlighted that Orange County is trying to <br /> do the right thing and that there was a 48% waste reduction. She suggested having a one- <br /> page summary of what Orange County has been doing in solid waste. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Carey to <br /> approve accepting, as information only, the Draft Interim Solid Waste Plan as reviewed by Solid <br /> Waste Advisory Board (SWAB) at its April 3, 2008 meeting; to authorize the Solid Waste <br /> Management Department with SEAB to establish the May 1, 2008 SWAB meeting as a public <br /> meeting for input to the Plan; and further to authorize staff to set meetings with all three towns <br /> to present the draft plan that includes the public input from May 1 . <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> e.
