Topics ranged from collecting photography as art to journalistic practices in
documentation for publications. We brought speakers from a variety of organizations
such as the photography curator of the NC Museum of Art,The Light Factory in
Charlotte, the past co-president of the MidAtlantic American Society of Media
Photographers,Director of the Lewis Hine Foundation at the Center for Documentary
Studies, and owner founder publisher of Daylight magazine, based in Hillsborough,NC.
Through this endeavor,we were able to build and strengthen our relationships with area
schools, galleries, museums, art organizations,and community centers.
See Supplementary materials of ongoing projects from 2010-Current and the
FRANK::InFocus catalogue
Grant Request for FRANK:JNFOCUSFocus on Photography
In conjunction with our Community Outreach mission,we are requesting funding from
the Arts Commission to enhance our successful educational outreach project, FRANK::
inFocus.
