Many of our artists are nationally <br /> recognized and contribute a wide range of artistic vision and skills. Themed Exhibitions designed <br /> by the members (6 per year) focus attention to specific ideas and techniques and reach out to <br /> regional and major national guests artists. Our Featured Artist Spotlight Exhibitions showcase <br /> the work of member artists once every 2 years. Community Exhibitions showcase work from <br /> Orange County artists. Twice a year, our Community Gallery partners with a diverse population <br /> of organizations and individuals to provide a month long exhibition and forum for exchange of <br /> ideas through our Arts Outreach Program. <br /> Programs, Outreach, and Education,the Non-Profit Arm of FRANK <br /> In keeping with our educational mission to extend appreciation of the arts through the <br /> non-profit arm of our gallery,FRANK offers workshops, salons, and innovative and inclusive <br /> community outreach activities for sharing of ideas and inspiration through forming partnerships <br /> between a diverse population of artists and our community. <br /> Artist Salons <br /> Thursday evening Artist Salons bring together our artists, our community resources,and <br /> the public to provide opportunities for educational enrichment with a diversity of presenters and <br /> participants. Our own member artists and consigners share their work and methods. Guest artists <br /> read original poetry,perform readings of plays,entertain and experiment with new music, and <br /> foster community and dialogue. These salon nights have been well received with 20-60 <br /> participants. During the FRANK:inFocus festival,we hosted 9 Salons at FRANK between <br /> September-Nov 1,averaging alone 50 per salon. We co-hosted 7 off-site forums including the <br /> Town of Chapel Hill Wallace Deck,the Carrboro Art Center,and numerous universities, <br /> galleries, and museums,throughout the Triangle. <br />
