The ArtsCenter <br /> program after the first three years they asked for it to continue. The ArtsCenter was then <br /> able to secure additional funding to continue the program for another two years. <br /> Central Elementary is a Title 1 school located in Hillsborough, NC, and is part of the <br /> Orange County School District (OCS). Approximately 69% of the students receive free or <br /> reduced lunch and are considered economically disadvantaged. There are <br /> approximately 253 students at Central Elementary with approximately 51% female and <br /> 49% male. The ethnicity of students is as follows: 43%African-American, 39% White, <br /> 12% Hispanic and 6% Other. Students attending Central Elementary primarily reside in <br /> Hillsborough and Efland, NC. <br /> Funding in the amount of$1500 from the Orange County Arts Commission will <br /> specifically go towards teaching artists fees associated with the Page to Stage residency <br /> at Central Elementary in February/March 2013. <br />
