Fage to Stage ResidencY <br /> Dear Families: <br /> We are excited to let you know that we are once again partnering with The <br /> ArtsCenter to have a teaching artist come into our classroom for an art residency. <br /> During this residency, called Page to Stage, students will study and explore the <br /> book Shiloh through poetry and music (jazz). The teaching artist will work with <br /> students to write poems based on the main plot points in the book, and then <br /> transform those poems into song lyrics. Outside of class, the teaching artist will <br /> score the student-written work for professional singers and musicians, and they <br /> will all return to our school on Friday, March 16 to perform for the students. <br /> This residency began today and will continue each day this week. To support <br /> your child and enhance learning, please ask your child about his/her <br /> experiences.
