Foushee, Alice Gordon, and Mike Nelson <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: Goof Gledhill <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Laura Blackmon, Assistant County <br /> Managers Willie Best, Gwen Harvey, and Clerk to the Board Donna S. Baker (All other <br /> staff members will be identified appropriately below). <br /> Change in BOCC Regular Meeting Schedule for 2008 <br /> The pink sheet was an addition to the agenda for a Change in BOCC Regular <br /> Meeting Schedule for 2008. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Carey <br /> to change the Board of County Commissioners' meeting calendar for 2008 by adding a <br /> BOCC Retreat on Friday, February 8th -from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (breakfast at 8:30 <br /> a.m.) at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill; and a meeting on Monday, <br /> February 11, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill to <br /> discuss the transfer station siting process. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 1. Appointments - Local Revenue Options Education Advisory Committee <br /> The Board considered making appointments to the Local Revenue Options <br /> Education Advisory Committee. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Foushee to appoint Pam Seamans, Dr. Carolyn Schwarz, and Krysia Lynes to the <br /> appropriate positions. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 2. Discussion of Recommended Orange County FY 2008-18 Capital <br /> Investment Plan (CIP) <br /> 2008-18 Capital Investment Plan and Local Revenue Options Work Session <br /> Tonight's Objectives <br /> • Complete County space needs dialogue <br /> - Pick up from January 16, 2008 work session <br /> - Finalize plans for Department of Social Services and Health Department <br />
