2 <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, and Parks and Recreation (DEAPR) <br /> 2. The Soil and Water division within DEAPR has received the following funds: <br /> • Jordan Lake Watershed Nutrient Management Strategy - receipt of a <br /> $13,750 grant award from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and <br /> Consumer Services for the department's participation in gathering data for the <br /> State in the Jordan Lake watershed related to the Jordan Lake Nutrient <br /> Sensitive Waters Strategy Agriculture Rule. The Orange Soil and Water <br /> Conservation District Board of Supervisors has approved the use of these <br /> funds for equipment, program, and training needs of the division. This budget <br /> amendment provides for the receipt of these grant funds, and establishes the <br /> following grant project ordinance: <br /> Jordan Lake Watershed Nutrient Grant($13,750)— New Project# 71060 <br /> Revenues for this ro�ect: <br /> Current FY FY 2012-13 FY 2012-13 <br /> 2012-13 Amendment Revised <br /> NC Department of Ag funds $0 $13,750 $13,750 <br /> Total Project Funding $0 $13,750 $13,750 <br /> Appropriated for this project: <br /> Current FY FY 2012-13 FY 2012-13 <br /> 2012-13 Amendment Revised <br /> Jordan Lake Watershed Grant $0 $13,750 $13,750 <br /> Total Costs $0 $13,750 $13,750 <br /> • Technical Assistance funds - receipt of an additional $2,750 in technical <br /> assistance funds from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and <br /> Consumer Services for use in the Soil and Water Conservation District <br /> operations for FY 2012-13. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 3. The Department of Social Services has received the following funds: <br /> • Energy Assistance Block Grant - receipt of an additional $56,695 from the <br /> Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) funds, for the crisis <br /> related heating needs of Orange County citizens. <br /> • Child Day Care - receipt of $936,340 to provide childcare services and <br /> subsidies to low-income families. <br />
