2. Comprehensive Plan Update Phase I: On October 3, 2006, the Board of County <br />Commissioners approved a process for updating the County's Comprehensive Plan in two <br />phases. Phase 1 includes development of Comprehensive Plan goals and the County <br />Profile Element. <br />a. Draft Goals: The following advisory boards have developed draft goals for the <br />Comprehensive Plan: Affordable Housing Advisory Board, Agricultural Preservation Board, <br />Commission for the Environment, Economic Development Commission, Historic <br />Preservation Commission, Orange Unified Transportation Board, Planning Board and <br />Recreation and Parks Advisory Council. Draft goals will guide completion of Phase 2 of <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />b. Draft County Profile (Data) Element: The County Profile (Data) Element is the primary <br />reference point for basic information contained in the Comprehensive Plan. It will be the first <br />of eight Plan elements to be completed and will be used to develop remaining elements as <br />well as serving as a resource far future planning. <br />Tom Altieri said that for this item there are two handouts in the packet -part A, Draft Goals, <br />and part B, Draft County Profile Element. These two parts are to be addressed as one item.
