10 <br /> County sheriff department or the police department in the Towns <br /> in which the violation occurred. An oral or written notice shall be <br /> provided to the person. <br /> e. Engage in public education as provided in Section 8 below. <br /> (3) During the implementation period a person who manages, operates, or controls a <br /> public place in which smoking is prohibited by this Rule shall: <br /> a. Post signs that meet all the requirements in Section 6 of this Rule. <br /> b. Remove all indoor ashtrays and other smoking receptacles from the area <br /> in which smoking is prohibited, except for ashtrays and receptacles for <br /> sale and not intended for use on the premises. <br /> c. Direct a person who is smoking in a prohibited area to extinguish the <br /> lighted tobacco product and, if the person does not comply, ask, the <br /> person to leave the premises. <br /> d. If a person in violation refuses to leave the premises, contact the <br /> County sheriff department or the police department in the Town in <br /> which the violation occurred. An oral or written notice shall be <br /> provided to the person. <br /> Section 6. Signage <br /> (1) The County and the Towns where smoking is prohibited by the Rule shall post <br /> signs as required by Section 5 that must: <br /> a. State in English an d S p a n i s h that smoking is prohibited and <br /> include the universal "No Smoking" symbol. <br /> b. Be of sufficient size to be clearly legible to a person of normal vision, and <br /> be conspicuously posted. <br /> c. Be posted at each entrance to a County a n d T o w n building and in <br /> other locations within the buildings reasonably calculated to inform <br /> employees and the public of the prohibition. <br /> d. Be posted on County grounds and Town grounds in locations and at <br /> intervals reasonably calculated to inform employees and the public <br /> of the prohibition. <br /> (2) The County or Towns where smoking is prohibited by the Rule may in <br /> Final <br /> 8 <br />
